Background

A global communications company engaged CMI to review the health, safety, and environmental (HSE) compliance of its Australian operations.

The company has established multiple operational functions (design, engineering, assembly, repairs and supporting technical services), and maintains a strong HSE culture supported by leadership and active worker consultation.

Objective

DBell Consulting, working with CMI, was engaged to conduct a Health, Safety & Environmental compliance audit to assess compliance with relevant Australian legislation, and provide assurance on the effectiveness of existing practices.

Implementation & Outcomes

The project included pre-audit planning, document reviews, site inspections, and staff consultation.

The audit confirmed a positive HSE culture, strong leadership commitment, and effective systems for managing risk and compliance obligations. The final report provided assurance to leadership that operations were aligned with both regulatory requirements and international standards, and identified recommendations for enhancing performance.
